Can I see the puppies with their mother?

Puppies are kept together with their mother for as long as it is healthy for both parties. You will be able to meet the parents of the litter you are visiting and on most occasions you will be able to see the puppies with their mother. On some occasions the puppies may be being kept separately from the mother after they have weaned to ensure her health and welfare, as advised by our vet. You will be able to meet the parents of the puppies you visit.

Can I see and handle the puppies?

Absolutely. We do not sell puppies to anyone who has not come to meet them (and us!). Visiting the litter and spending time with the puppies and their parents will help you find the right puppy for you; it's very important you are a good match.

Are you a Kennel Club assured breeder? What does that mean?

Do you give guidance or support on caring for my new puppy?

When you come to pick your new puppy up we'll provide you with a Puppy Information pack. This pack includes advice on training, socialising, feeding, exercise, worming and vaccinations, all specific to your puppy. It also includes your puppy's pedigree information, Kennel Club registration certificate, vaccination information, microchip information and four weeks free Kennel Club pet insurance.

Are dachshunds susceptible to any hereditary diseases I should be aware of?

Wire haired dachshunds are susceptible to two hereditary diseases - Lafurla and PRA. All our parent dogs have been screened for and are clear of the gene carrying these diseases. We can guarantee all our puppies are free from this gene, too. If you would like more information on this or to see the screening certificates, please let us know.

Are your puppies socialised?

Yes, all our puppies are socialised with other dogs, children and adults. When you come to pick your puppy up you will be provided with guidance and advice on continuing their socialisation plan.

Once I've visited the puppies available and found the right one for me, when can I take it home?

Puppies stay with us (and their siblings) for at least 8 weeks. During this time they receive their microchip, first vaccination and are socialised with other dogs, children and adults. Once the puppy is 8 weeks old we'll make an appointment with you to come and collect him or her to take them home.
